About the Studio

A small studio,
with deep roots.

Prikichi Labs is an independent software studio with Aruban roots, based in the Netherlands. We build considered, durable software for small and growing businesses — the kind of tools usually reserved for companies with much bigger budgets.

Our Story

How we got here.

Prikichi Labs began the way a lot of good things do — with one person, a laptop, and a stubborn refusal to ship software that feels generic.

Our founder grew up in Aruba, finished middle school on the island, and moved to the Netherlands to continue studying. The engineering came the self-taught way: Java first, then Flutter, and a deep stretch working with low-code platforms — all sharpened by hands-on experience as a professional software developer.

That path — island roots, a European base, and a builder's curiosity — is exactly what shapes how we work today. We started Prikichi Labs to give small and growing businesses software that's thoughtful, durable, and genuinely enjoyable to use. And, honestly, because building it is a lot of fun.

The Name

Why "Prikichi"?

In Papiamento — the language of Aruba — a prikichi is a parakeet: small, bright, and unmistakably local. It's the little green bird you tend to hear before you see it.

We took the name as a nod to those roots. Like its namesake, the studio is small and sharp by design — resourceful, quick, and full of character — carrying a piece of Aruba into everything we build.

What We Believe

The principles behind the work.

design_services

Craft over bloat

We build only what earns its place. No feature bloat, no framework fashion — just clean, maintainable software that does its job well.

foundation

Built to last

The tools we ship are meant to serve your business for years, not until the next rewrite. Durability is a design decision, made early.

Close and direct

You work directly with the person building your software. No account managers, no telephone game — just a clear line from idea to shipped.
